There are two thermal baths in the Gastein Valley, each of them with its own charm and style. If it’s a cold winter day or a beautiful day in the summer both of them are always worth visiting.
The Gasteiner Höhenweg is one of the most popular hiking trails in the Gasteinertal and begins in Bad Hofgastein above the cemetery at Cafe Gamskar and leads at about 1000m above sea level almost flat in the direction of Bad Gastein to Cafe Gamskar.
Graukogel Zirbenweg
The Zirbenweg was created in the area of the Graukogel mountain station at approx. 1950m and is very flat. You need around 45 minutes for the themed trail, which leads through the ancient stone pine (some of the trees are almost 400 years old) and invites you to rest and linger with special elements such as a snack bench, stone pine bed and stone pine swing.
Horse-drawn sleigh ride
There is hardly anything more romantic than a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the snowy landscape of the Gastein Valley.
Torch hike
There are several hikes planned over the winter. Accompanied by the glow of torches, exciting stories about thermal water and our mining past bring the valley to life.
A slegh ride in the beautiful winter landscape is always an experience: the ascent with the lift, or on foot follows a little cottage magic and a fun descent on the sled. And when the toboggan runs are floodlit, this creates a very special atmosphere.
Full moon Dinner
Haute cuisine outdoors at 1590m in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park in Salzburgerland.
Enjoy a 5-course menu including drinks made from regional products under the starry sky and watch as the full moon rises over the mountain peaks and illuminates the snow-covered valley more and more brightly.
